• When will the works take place and at what times?

  The working days and hours may vary. In most cases, the works take place during daytime. However, on some days work may start early in the morning.

  Do you work night shifts and need to rest during the day? We recommend contacting our reception. If possible, we will assign you a room as far away from the works as possible.

  Unfortunately, we cannot fully guarantee that you will not experience any inconvenience, but we will do everything possible to keep any disturbance to a minimum. Together, we will gladly look for a suitable solution for your stay.

• Will the swimming pool, fitness and wellness remain open during the works?

  Yes, all facilities at Van der Valk Hotel Almere remain open during the works. The works have no impact on the use of the swimming pool, fitness area and wellness.

• Will the rates be adjusted due to possible inconvenience?

  Our rates remain competitively priced, as you are used to from us. When you book directly through our website, you always benefit from the lowest price guarantee, a complimentary welcome drink and the opportunity to save for attractive discounts.

• What kind of works are being carried out in the hotel?

  We are currently renovating 5 wellness suites. These are being transformed into 5 brand-new, exclusive suites. The new suites will feature a private sauna, a private balcony and renewed themes and luxury amenities.

  This allows us to create a unique experience where you can fully relax and escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life.
  
  Also starting from May 18, 2026, we will begin cleaning and coating our façades.

• Until when will the works take place?

  On May 18, 2026, we will start cleaning the hotel façade. In June 2026, the renovation of the wellness suites will begin.

  We expect all works to be completed by the end of August 2026. Please note that this schedule is indicative and may be subject to change due to external factors such as weather conditions.

• Is there a chance of inconvenience during my stay?

  During the works, there may be limited noise disturbance, activity near your room and temporarily reduced parking availability.

  We do everything possible to minimize the impact on your stay and strive to ensure your comfort.

• Why are these works being carried out?

  Van der Valk Hotel Almere has been operating for 15 years. To maintain the quality, appearance and luxury of our hotel, we carry out periodic maintenance and renovations. This enables us to continue offering you an optimal hotel experience in the future.

• Will my room have a view of the works?

  In some cases, your room may have a view of the works, such as the use of lifting equipment at the façade. If you are sensitive to this, please contact our reception. We will do our best to take this into account when assigning your room.

• Can there be work near my window during my stay?

  Work may take place on the exterior of the hotel, for example during façade cleaning or coating. In such cases, a staff member may temporarily be visible near your window. Naturally, these works are carried out carefully and safely.

• Can I request a quiet room during the works?

  Yes, this is possible. We recommend contacting reception at the time of your reservation or prior to your arrival. We will then try to assign you a room in a quieter location, for example further away from the works.

• What should I do if I experience inconvenience during my stay?

  If you experience any inconvenience, please contact our reception immediately. Our team is ready to work with you to find a suitable solution.

• Can I cancel my stay free of charge due to the works?

  Our standard cancellation conditions apply. If you have any questions, we recommend contacting our reception team to discuss the possibilities. In principle, the inconvenience will be kept to a minimum, so no exceptions to the existing cancellation conditions will apply.
