The hotel is open

Unfortunately, stricter measures have been announced again and this also means a number of changes in the service that we can / may provide for us as a hotel. On this Corona page we will update the information regarding any information known to us. You will find many answers to your questions here!

We are pleased that we can still welcome our guests. Unfortunately under very strict measures. We have adjusted our working method and our spaces on a number of points. This allows you to enjoy a safe and relaxed stay in our hotel. You can read all about it on this page.

At this time, wearing a face mask is MANDATORY for all guests and employees in public areas. You should therefore carry these everywhere in the hotel, unless you are in your hotel room. Unfortunately we cannot grant you access if you are not wearing a mouth mask.

Do you have any cold-like symptoms, including cold in the nose, runny nose, soar throat, mild cough or a temperature higher than 38 degrees Celsius/100.4 Fahrenheit? If yes, you are requested to stay home and not to come to the hotel.

It is important that you follow the instructions of the hotel staff members during your stay with us. Additionally, all guests and staff members at our hotel are requested to carefully follow the precautionary measures below:

Overnight stay

We look forward to welcoming you in person and answering all the questions, you might have. On arrival you can disinfect your hands in the lobby. We will ensure hospitable check-in with 1,5 meters distance for you. All our staff members have been instructed how to proceed with regard to COVID-19.

Every day our professional cleaners will clean the rooms and the door handles, besides (stair) handrails, elevator buttons are cleaned several times a day. Our staff members are required to wash their hands during the day.

To reduce the chance of infections as much as possible, it is forbidden to gather together with three or more people in a hotel room in Hotel Almere. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee a 1.5 meter distance between everyone. Persons in the same household, such as families, and children are excluded. If you still make a reservation for 3 or more adult persons who do not come from one household, we are forced to cancel the reservation.

Food & Drinks

Unfortunately, breakfast may no longer be served in our restaurant. We will provide this in the form of a takeaway breakfast (package) (from the buffet). You can make your own choice from the buffet. Breakfast is on weekdays from 6.30 am to 11.00 am and on weekends from 6.30 am to 12 am. You can ask for more information about this at our reception when you check-in.

Unfortunately, due to the measures according to Corona, we no longer have a lunchbuffet.

Dinner or lunch
Unfortunately we are not allowed to serve our hotel guests (with room) lunch/dinner in one of the restaurant areas. You can order something from the room and then pick it up downstairs (to be consumed in the room afterwards) or we can bring it to your room (till the door). The order and payment must be made online through our digital assistant Annabel.We also have rooms with a dinner setting in the room available (subject to availability), for more information please contact our reception!
Unfortunately, guests without an overnight stay are also not allowed to have lunch or dinner at this time. Furthermore, our kitchen closes at 10 p.m. and you can only order food/drinks for take-away before that time. For your information: we are currently not allowed to serve alcohol after 8 p.m. and this may not be consumed after 8 p.m. This cannot be collected after this time.

If you have booked a package, a package menu applies. You will receive this at check-in from our reception staff. This menu can therefore also be collected or brought to the door at the room.

Room service is currently available for all rooms (without additional charge, with the exception of room service breakfast at the Suites, which is subject to an additional charge).

Buffet, Live Cooking and Tasting Dinner
We regret to inform you that our brunch, Live Cooking and Tasting Dinner are not available at the moment.

Terrace and hotelbar
Unfortunately, these are also not open at the moment due to the measures.

Swimming pool and wellness

Our swimming pool and wellness are now closed to everyone due to the Corona measures.

Extra house rules during Corona period

Strict measures apply in our hotel and restaurants to ensure a safe and hospitable stay for you, our other guests and our employees. For this reason, we request that you observe the following rules:

1. The hotel has a strict hygiene and safety policy. This is also indicated in various places in the hotel and/or are pointed out by our employees. You must adhere to this policy and also follow instructions from employees in this area. In particular:

  • keep 1.5 meters away from other guests and staff at all times;
  • stay at home if you have a cold, such as a runny nose, sneezing, sore throat, mild cough, fever from 38 degrees Celsius or - if the complaints occur during your stay/visit - leave the hotel;
  • stay at home if a housemate has or has had colds and fever and/or shortness of breath, as a result of which you are also forced to remain in quarantine according to government measures;
  • Follow the other measures as indicated in the hotel.

2. If a guest does not comply with (one of) the measures or instructions from the staff with regard to hygiene, safety and routing, the hotel is entitled to order you to leave the building and/or you deny access. The hotel is also entitled to recover any damage from non-compliance with these Covid-19 (Corona) rules.
